The neck joins the heart and the head. Connect our soul with our mind. Physically, it is a fragile and sensitive area where people are under a lot of stress, leading to severe restrictions on movement.
The neck is also an important pathway for the nervous system and blood circulation. Tension in this area creates numerous problems in our respiratory and digestive systems.
Cervicalgia or neck pain is a common problem. Neck and shoulder pain can be an acute or chronic problem. Acute neck pain has many causes, trauma such as whiplash, sleeping in a bad position that causes a stiff neck, or straining the neck muscles from carrying a heavy object. Chronic neck pain can be caused by sitting at the computer, poor posture, incorrect driving position, or pathological conditions.
In this two-day workshop, we will focus on carefully selected techniques from Thai massage and principles of osteopathy to help and prevent this problem.
Using the basic principles, ease and wisdom of Thai massage, we will relieve pressure, tension and eventual pain in the upper back.
Through theoretical exposition and practical work, we will approach muscles, organs such as the lungs, joints and muscular adhesions that are difficult to access, which often cause discomfort and pain. There, we find not only the symptom but also the cause.
This workshop is open to people who already have basic experience in Thai massage, shiatsu, physiotherapists, masseurs, and people who are already involved in some type of bodywork.

My journey began with a Physiotherapy Degree in 2006, laying the groundwork for the diverse path I’ve traversed since. From Thai Massage to Cranio Sacral Therapy, Chinese Medicine, AcroYoga, Yoga, Meditation & Movement, and Osteopathy, these disciplines form the essence of my teachings. I consider myself an eternal student, continually learning and sharing the wisdom I’ve gathered.
In 2008, I embarked on a mission to bring healing touch to those in need, starting with massage and stretching classes for the visually impaired in Cuzco, Peru. Since then, my passion for the art of Thai Massage has led me across borders, from Mexico to New Zealand.
To me, Thai massage & Osteothai embodies meditation, dance, and healing. It’s a practice that allows me to flow, to be fully present, to create, and to communicate without words.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to learn from esteemed masters such as Dayalu, Laurino Bertell, and KrishnaTakis, and since 2011 learning, assisting David Lutt, under whom I obtained my Master OsteoThai certification taught together with Jörg Schürpf
Presently, I have finished my studies in Osteopathy while conducting workshops and training sessions across Spain and Europe. I also offer therapies when I travel and also near Granada, where I reside with Sharon and our three children, Alma, Kailu, and Munay at @cortijoalegria.
In my teaching, I strive to infuse passion and therapy, fostering joy and growth in every session. I’m a firm believer in the power of play and the wisdom of stoic philosophy.
